Every year, NanoWriMo encourages folks to write a novel. One of my best friends and part of my high-school D&D group, Scott Roche, pulled it off last year and is promising to give it a go again this year.

To this end, I plan on writing something everyday in the month of November about Basic Fantasy, my game of choice.

A tentative schedule is based around a review of the system itself during the first week. This will be followed by various house rules that others have added to the site during the second week. The third week will feature a space fantasy add-on currently in development. The fourth week will feature a look at various modules, including Morgansfoot.

I plan on also creating at least one new character class, a short adventure with many new creatures, and houserules for building airships (not spacefaring ships). Along the way, I hope to pepper and salt the month's posting with a few new items.

All of this will be posted on my site with links posted here to aggregate it.

Wish me luck. This will be independent of my work for NeverMet Press.

I'm a long-time NaNo vet myself. I was actually the Municipal Liaison for my area for three years. Passed it off this year to a friend who's a lot better about organizing than I am. November means writing madness to me, and I'm more excited this year than ever.

Huge fan of NaNoWriMo. Last year was my first time doing it after… two or three years of only remembering it halfway through the month. And not to brag, but I did pretty fantastic last year. Granted, the quality could have been better, but…

I wasn't too excited about this year, but I'm getting some good ideas - Dirk Maverick and the Sky Pirates of Atlantis. Woo!

Can't wait to see what you write.

Nanowrimo is always a great project. Did in '07 but skipped '08 not sure if I'll do it again this year.
