Following the games industry, I know one thing above all else - immersion is key. The best way to create something that is capable of capturing the attention of the viewer\player\reader, is to be able to stimulate all of the senses.
I still find myself thinking about this in every day situations, which I think helped me be as successful as I am.
Today, though, I find that the same idea applies incredibly well to online applications. We have a variety of amazing, free tools available to us - short, simple messages via Twitter, forming groups and staying in touch with friends and family with Facebook, Myspace, etc, a variety of blogging sites such as Blogspot, Tumblr... it really is a new era for humanity. I like to imagine this is what our ancestors felt like the moment they realized they could use sharp rocks for more then just decoration.
I've had an idea for two projects for a while now: one that would use a variety of these tools and not only show other people how to utilize them in new ways and more efficiently to maximize their gaming potential.
The other is slightly less tech-savvy as it would essentially be the complete documentation of all my personal game design efforts, from rule design, world creation and the like.
I think I will try to make RPMN a part of that.
