While part of this post is going to be gaming-related(Gen Con, duh), part of it will also delve into my personal life, future aspirations, stuff like that. I have made a few friends through RPMN, and have no other blog of my own, so I hope that's ok…

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I was running an Earthdawn game in Wave. As far as the format goes, I'm pretty happy. Wave makes organizing and keeping up with the game a breeze, though admittedly we haven't attempted to do anything too complex…

Since my last blog post -- which nobody commented on -- was posted, not much has happened. But I'll fill you in on the meager news from the past week. Saturday - That's the day for my regular D&D 3.5 group. Words cannot express just how crappy I th…

I have a number of gaming books that I have no interest in keeping anymore, and am therefore offering them up for sale. I will list my books with the MSRP, but my general practice when unloading old gaming books is to charge about 50% plus shipping,…

Hey, since there's no discussion yet I thought I'd start things off by offering an Excel document I made myself. This is a sheet that allows you to plug in your values for various skills and qualities, and it will automatically calculate you bonus f…

Currently I have every rule/setting-book put out for Classic and 3E except for 3E Kratas. I've been looking at some of the older 1e/2e products, and wondered if any of them would be good additions to my collection for setting purposes. I haven't hea…

How-tos and extensions are cool and all, but what are you using all that stuff to actually DO in Wave? Me, I've jumped in and am in the process of getting an Earthdawn game going(with me as GM). I've found some things(like Kristian Serrano's articl…

I figure having a thread will help us if anyone here is looking for games in this area. Middle GA is roughly defined as the area from about as far north as Macon to about as far south as Perry. It includes Warner Robins, Centerville, Cochran, Bonair…

This week started out simple enough. I got a Google Wave invite, and wondered how good it would be for gaming. I hadn't heard much about this Wave thing, but what little I heard made it sound pretty cool. I happened across that Ars Technica article…

Jill and Gen Con

While part of this post is going to be gaming-related(Gen Con, duh), part of it will also delve into my personal life, future aspirations, stuff like that. I have made a few friends through RPMN, and have no other blog of my own, so I hope that's ok.

First off, let me tell you a little about Jill. She's a fellow geek, ruler of her own library, and she's actually been to Gen Con before. We've been friends for a few years, and actually met IRL a couple times. We attended the Cornerstone music fes… Continue

Sad About My Earthdawn Game:

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I was running an Earthdawn game in Wave. As far as the format goes, I'm pretty happy. Wave makes organizing and keeping up with the game a breeze, though admittedly we haven't attempted to do anything too complex yet. I'm not entirely sure how I'd handle if the party split up or something.

But there's been a sad development. Currently, our setup is that I as the GM set the stage, then ask what they want to do. They post their actions, I respond, and so on un… Continue

Something about my character's deity:

In the D&D game I play on Saturdays, my character follows the Faerun deity Waukeen. He also holds Tymora in high regard(I'm not sure how canonical this is, but my DM told me that she is a valued friend of Waukeen so that is one reason my character is so fond of her even though she's not his patron deity). My DM told me a bit about them, since I was asking for deities of luck and profit for my lawful good rogue to follow -- yes, that's right, lawful good ROGUE. Anyway, his explanation wasn't… Continue

I Have a Town!

In my weekly D&D 3.5 game, my group managed to claim some magical artifact in the name of a goddess of luck(Tamora or something), and this caused the area around the artifact to become magically blessed by luck. So now, after some in-game time and planning, the members of my group are the proud owners of our own strategically-located, highly-defensible town, complete with castle keep and stuff.

We've also been told that if we are able to connect to the other abandoned towns of the area that… Continue
