Since the number of members is growing very rapidly and everyone is still in the stage of getting to know each other. I thought it would be a great idea to have a few threads that list down the URL links to our respective media.
So here I'll compile the list of blogs that everyone owns in this network so we can easily reference or search each other in the future. Just reply to this thread with;
1)name of blog
2)URL of blog
3)A short blurb (maybe about a paragraph) of what you want to say about your blog
What do you say? I'll go first.
Questing GM; A Borneon Gamer questinggm.blogspot.com
The Questing GM hails from a small gaming tribe hidden in the mountains and jungles of Borneo. He is on a quest to search for the long lost secrets of gaming Enlightenment. Join him in his quest to discuss and learn more about gaming, GMing, news and the minority views about gaming in the east.
Stargazer's World - A Role Playing Games Blog http://stargazersworld.com/
Stargazer’s World is a roleplaying game blog. It’s a place where I can write down my thoughts on the roleplaying industry, the community and roleplaying in general. And by roleplaying I mean good old classic pen and paper roleplaying. So don’t expect too much about MMORPGs, computer and console RPGs and the like. And don’t expect posts about LARP either. Don’t get me wrong, I have played a lot of MMOs and I wouldn’t mind trying out LARP some time, but this blog will be focussed on pen and paper roleplaying.
Whispers From The Dark dark-rpg.com
Dark-rpg.com focuses on contemporary horror/conspiracy/weirdness gaming as well as the sources of inspiration that we garner ideas from. It is a companion site to Protodimension Magazine, for which I am one of the editorial team. It's mainly about tabletop RPGs, with some boardgames and miniatures as well as the occasional novel.
Games of State Gamesofstate.net
Games of State is my little blog, just recently turning 1. It covers various role-playing bits and pieces, occasional articles on other aspects of 'geek life' and (when I have the time) I also post some recipes. It's not focused on any one system, because I have quite diverse tastes and has far too many half finished projects, including a Torchwood RPG setting, a post-Apocalypic version of Scotland and (although not posted) two different alternate World of Darkness settings (one in the 1980s in a Watchman style timeline, one in a space-opera style future).
I also need to rewrite my About page.
Updates as often as I have time and inspiration ;)
RPG Blog 2 www.rpgblog2.com
RPG Blog 2 is my second go-around with RPG blogging. It's all about gaming news, reviews, analysis, and culture. I keep a schedule of updating it regularly, with special discounts and offers for my readers along the way.
Topic-wise, I love writing about the hobby in general, interviews with RPG writers/publishers, small press games, gaming culture and customs, classic D&D, and a host of other RPGs, from the old school to the new. Most Fridays, I also host Friday Discussion, where I throw out a topic for readers to answer and discuss.
Heh--yep! My first time around I simply burned out, so I've been there. I've changed my approach to where my blog feels a lot more sustainable--has been, for over 500 posts now!
Vulcan Stev's Database vulcanstev.wordpress.com
What started out as a way to keep friends and family informed about the progress and treatments of my wife's breast cancer developed into a blog about what I enjoy.
In addition to posts about gaming, you'll find the family's ratings of the movies we see, and random observations about life.
The gaming content is centered on using bits from the movies we've watched in the games we play as well as the odd table for use with the venerated D30.
Coming Soon - I'm moving my creative writing to the blog due to dissatisfaction with the current club.
RetroRoleplaying: The Blog http://blog.retroroleplaying.com/
RetroRoleplaying: The Blog focuses on older RPGs -- mainly TSR editions of D&D as that's what I'm currently running. It is also the "official" blog of Microlite74, my "Microlite20" version of the world's first published RPG: TSR's 1974 "Zero Edition."
Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies http://rocksfallblog.com/
Rocks Fall is a RPG blog focusing on D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. I post a few times a week, with new monsters, adventure hooks, variant rules, and other cool stuff. I'm also planning on posting information about Ralsenna, my homebrew campaign setting, from time to time.
